Carbs are deadly to me too! You and I should team up and get each other through some protein days!

Operation Military Kids - Blog Entry

What an awesome thing! Few people realize what military families go through during the deployment of a loved one. While life is hunky-dory and business as usual for most, there is a silent minority of military families wondering if Daddy or Mommy is ever going to come home. The best thing for military children is to know that they aren't alone. What a wonderful camp to have available for them!

Thanks, Jody! You made me realize that I didn't even mention Motherhood! I had a pretty svelte body before I got pregnant. I gained a lot of weight with the pregnancy. My son is nearly 2 now and I'm hoping to be back to my pre-baby weight by the time his birthday rolls around in October.

If I don't make it, oh well. He was worth every stretch mark and saddlebag! Curves are beautiful and I think we all need to tell ourselves that more often.

This is a truly inspiring team. I remember seeing a news story about this father & son when my in-laws were visiting. There was not one dry eye in the house. It still brings tears to my eyes. How can we not hope that our sons will grow up to be fathers like this amazing man?

Poor Pluto! I guess, in a cosmic sort of way, size does matter. Poor little moon without a planet.
