I thought the old standards like "Twinkle-twinkle" or "You are my Sunshine" might do it but so far, the only one that has worked is "Amazing Grace". The Secret Language of Boogers - Blog Entry03 May 2006 01:17 PM You know, I'm actually at a loss for words to describe just how IKKY this blog is. Bathing Your Newborn - After the First Week - Blog Entry03 May 2006 03:30 AM We tried the little baby bath tubs and even the sink, but our son hated them both. We discovered quickly that what worked best for him was actually what was best for me too - we bathed together. I got to sit in a warm bath tub and relax a bit while he enjoyed the comfort and security of reclining on my legs. He quickly grew to love the bath and now he's a regular Aquaman! Morbid Meanderings Mean Much - Gastric Bypass Surgery - Blog Entry02 May 2006 12:25 PM Good article, but some things have changed over the past few years. When I had a gastric bypass in 2001, my stomach was reduced to holding one (1) ounce. I was in the hospital for 2 days. I stayed on clear fluids for 3 days and then began integrating heavier liquids and baby food into my diet until I could tolerate solids - which took a few weeks. My sister-in-law had the same surgery in 2005. It was an outpatient procedure and she was eating solid foods that very same day - as per her doctor's orders. More and more gastric bypasses are being done these days and that means more doctors with better experience and a knowledge base that is growing by leaps and bounds. What the Heck is Hoodia? - Blog Entry02 May 2006 12:17 PM Hoodia is actually the key ingredient in TrimSpa. I've tried TrimSpa but found it overpriced and not as effective as I felt it should be for the money. After doing some research, I found out about Hoodia and just bought the straight stuff for a fraction of the cost I'd pay for a pretty package of TrimSpa. I'm not a starvation diet kind of person. What I needed was something to stave off feelings of hunger so that I wouldn't go to starchy carbohydrates at the first pang. I've found that hoodia, when combined with smart eating was extremely effective in getting me past a very difficult plateau in my weight loss efforts. The Eternal Plan of Salvation - Blog Entry01 May 2006 04:48 AM This is a wonderfully informative piece. Thank you! Spending a Fortune on Take-Away? Don't Cook Twice! - Blog Entry01 May 2006 01:42 AM I do this with my spaghetti sauce. I make a huge batch of it in my crock pot and then freeze it by the quart. We have it on spaghetti, tortellini and ravioli; in lasagna; with mozzarella sticks and garlic bread; and use it for pizza sauce on homemade pizzas. It is a great time saver!
