How to Find a Fitness Partner

30 Jun 2008 03:22 PM

I've had some great training partners over the years but I've had lousy ones too. The good ones were very good and pushed me to work out harder than I ever would alone. They also made workouts a blast. The bad ones were a major energy drain. I found I hated working out just because I couldn't stand being with them - and dumping a training partner that you work with or hang out with a lot is a real hassle.

The last one soured me to the point where I haven't even tried finding a new training partner and that was 7 years ago!

Disney's Old Key West Resort

Wow. That's a real bummer of a story.

I've considered buying into the Disney Vacation Club too but ultimately, it is just a time share with even more hoops to jump through. Personally, I'd rather spare myself the hassle, make my reservations well in advance and pay as I go. It just seems to be the smartest way to go these days.

Travel Insanity---Airline Charges for One Checked Bag

This is NUTS! Not so long ago, when you bought an airline ticket you could check as many bags as you needed to, get a cocktail as soon as you take off and eat a full meal before landing!

Wow. I see a BIG market opening up for vacation insurance. This seems to be the norm rather than the exception these days.

I'm not a fan of Madonna, but I can't say I blame her for not paying the bill. I'm sure she's assuming, no doubt correctly, that somebody was paid a princely sum to give that crew the key. As far as I'm concerned, that guy should pay the bill out of his take!

When a celebrity goes to a place like Cannes, they should be able to expect their hotel room to be off limits to press. I mean, it's Cannes, for crying out loud! A hotel that allows the press to peruse through one's belongings just isn't going to stay in business long at a place like Cannes. Somebody clearly wasn't thinking about the fact that when celebrities talk, millions listen.

Hollywood--It's All Who You Know

When you're a millionaire and your brother has filed bankruptcy and his life is pretty much about when the next beer is coming, I guess the best way to get him to stand on his own feet is not to write a check but to get him a TV show. Makes sense.

Celebrity Moms Speak Out

You know, I think a nanny is the last person I'd hire if I had the money to do so. Think about it - if you had the money to hire a cook (to do the cooking & shopping), a housekeeper to make the beds, empty the diaper pails and keep the house spotless) and a personal assistant (to run all your errands), would you really need a Nanny? Personally, I'd love to have a household staff so I could spend the whole day with my kids doing fun things instead of doing the dishes, vacuuming, laundry, washing floors and countertops, dusting, doing errands like grocery shopping and then preparing meals.

Nope, I'd skip the Nanny too. Parenting would be a piece of cake if a parent had a cook, housekeeper and personal assistant!
