Forty Reasons to Have Children

I can't believe someone would write a book on why NOT to have kids! What kind of selfish, egomaniac would regret having children in their life?

Weight a Minute! Avoiding Exhaustion

Tristi - what you have is a classic case of OVERtraining. If you do the same thing at the gym every day, then you're training the same muscles daily and they haven't had any "off" days to recover. Muscle recovery is vital to fitness and weight loss. This is why most exercise programs advise you to take a day off between training the same muscles (for instance training upper body on MWF and lower body on TTS or lifting weight MWF and doing aerobic work on TT).

Our muscles need a day of rest between workouts to recover and rebuild.

May I suggest you try doing the track and bike on separate days? By allowing your pedaling and walking muscles alternate days off, you'll probably find your weight loss happening much more quickly.

Too true! Sadly, there will always be irresponsible parents. If more people considered the need to actually "parent" prior to having kids, we'd probably have a whole lot less of these unnecessary injuries (and likely fewer neglected children) in our society.

Way to go, Ed! Boot Camp AND Spinning?! You're a dynamo! Watch that soda thought, it is probably working against you.

Tristy, good for you going off the carbonation! I've been off it since December 2001 and water has become such a habit now that I wouldn't dream of going back. It's like quitting smoking. You get over it to the point where you're don't want even a taste.
