Alec's Apologies---From Bad To Worse

27 Apr 2007 05:32 AM

I've never been terribly impressed with Alec Baldwin. He's a great example of an actor who had good looks and talent and simply pissed it all away. Whenever I watch Thomas & Friends with my son, I remember the horrible things he said to his daughter and it reminds me how precious our children are.

Stephen Baldwin, on the other hand, is doing some amazing things with his life. Maybe Alec should take a lesson from his younger brother and GROW UP!

So, What Did You Think of "The Secret"?

20 Mar 2007 08:10 PM

I just finished reading the book. IMO it is brilliant. It is no real secret.

People like Robert Schuller, Tony Robbins, W. Clement Stone and Og Mandino have been telling us these things for years. The difference is that this woman managed to get this movie and book into the mainstream and quite frankly I'm thrilled that she has!

The talk shows can't possibly do it justice. They're just a lot of blah-blah-blah and everybody says "Well, duh!"

Here's a pearl for you - read the book or watch the movie. This is stuff we should ALL be teaching our kids!

09 Mar 2007 04:51 PM

I use a reusable gold filter and I wouldn't use anything else. I can always taste the paper when I have coffee made with a paper filter now. I've had this same filter for about 8 years now. it has definitely paid for itself several times over!

Oy, I Overdid It - Recovering from Surgery

Heather, Heather, Heather... Pushing too hard too fast can delay your recovery. I know - I tried it recently! Don't forget that your immune system isn't running at top speed either. If you aren't careful you could come down with something that will keep you in that chair even longer!

Take care of yourself!
