It worked out great that way because I could also put my coupon pockets opposite each corresponding aisle page. This way, as I move through the store, I just flip the pages one-by-one and the coupons for the items I'm browsing will be right in front of me. What is a price book?13 Sep 2006 09:18 PM LOL! I started my own price book recently. Actually it includes the prices for my 4 local stores and pocket sheets to hold my coupons. I was at one of my local stores one day and saw a woman looking at a sale item and checking out a coupon she had. I couldn't resist. I had to tell her the same item was on sale at another store and her coupon would make it practically free. Unfortunately, we didn't discover that it had been shut off until the fish had grown bubbly and the dough had not only defrosted but risen and burst the bags it was in. I had just had a miserable week and just cried the whole time I was carrying rotten food out of the house and sterilizing the freezer with bleach. Diary of an Overweight MOM-Day 1: Ready or Not, Here I Come!08 Sep 2006 06:31 AM Yes, I'm still doing it - but without the Maple Syrup and Cayenne. It made me sick. I'm 7 pounds from my goal now and this cleansing of my body seems to be clearing my mind as well. When I ease back into eating, I'll be starting slow with whey protein drinks and working into clean eating (only foods that nourish) and I'll be manipulating my carbs quite a bit as that is my big trigger. I actually did a blog on fasting and using the time on a fast to get your head straight about what you need to do with your nutrition plan. (I actually do practice what I preach!) It works! I gained 70 pounds with my pregnancy and that was after finally losing 90 with weight loss surgery. My body lost weight faster than my mind did with the surgery, but going back up after adjusting to the new me was a real issue. One thing I always kept in mind was that the pregnancy weight was just that - a pregnancy, a new life, a gift from God. Finally I realized the weight didn't matter, I was blessed to be the one to bring a new life into this world. Now that I'm wrestling with losing that weight, it still isn't the traumatic experience it used to be. It is still as difficult but the saggy skin and saddlebags are badges of honor now. I am a MOTHER and I'd give much more than that for my child. BTW we named him Theodore because it means "Gift from God". I started out about a week-and-a-half ago with 20 pounds to go to get to my pre-Teddy weight (Mind you I'd gained 70 pounds during the pregnancy). Well, I'm happy to report that I'm staying strong, doing aerobic work, lifting weights and am now only 10 pounds away from my goal (with 4 weeks to my deadline). Of course, I'm feeling a little empowered now and thinking I might just make this an interim goal and push further. :-) One step at a time. When you feel better about yourself, you always look better. And, I guess somebody should mention it, marital intimacy seems to get a boost when a woman feels good about herself. I'm practicing what I preach and using this "cleansing" time to really wrap my brain around eating clean when I'm done with the fast.
