Is Pluto a Planet?

Poor Pluto! I guess, in a cosmic sort of way, size does matter. Poor little moon without a planet.

He's Ready For School-But Am I?

Wow! How very true! You know, I've come to believe that the only time in our lives when we don't have to let go is those 9 months we have them as a part of us (if we're lucky). I think that the moment of birth is the very first time we have to let go and we keep having to let go every day after that for the rest of our lives.

Five Tips for Rotating Your Food Storage

16 Aug 2006 02:02 PM

Great tip on food banks! I recently started taking advantage of coupon deals and I'm literally paying pennies on the dollar for dry goods. I store them according to their expiration dates but it is always good to plan for any excess so that it doesn't go to waste. Helping somebody else in the process is a wonderful thing :-)

Five Ways to Preserve Your Garden Excess

Great info! I'm very big on freezing - especially in-season fruits & veggies. I got so tired of freezer burn with Zipper bags that I finally broke down and spent $40 on a Seal-a-Meal. It was the best $40 I ever spent!!!

When You Just Can't Breastfeed

14 Aug 2006 10:08 AM

Whether it was because of my gastric bypass, lack of knowledge or some other reason, I just couldn't get nursing right. For those who can't get it right, you can always do what I did: express milk and combine it with a good quality formula to make up whatever amount you can't come up with. Every little bit will help your baby. Don't let yourself feel like a bad mother just because you aren't one of those Earth Mothers who can do their shopping, breast feed baby in a sling and talk on the phone at the same time. There is enough guilt involved in being a parent. Don't let the lack of milk break you!
