My Top Ten Johnny Depp Movies

13 Aug 2006 11:43 PM

I've never been a big fan of JD.

I did think that Don Juan was a great movie - maybe it was just because the idea of a man understanding women so well was such a foreign thing. I have to say that Blow was the best acting I ever saw him do.

Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Style

In England, they call Gyros "Doner Kebabs". I practically lived off them for the 5 years I was there. I'll definitely have to try this chicken variation!

Do Parents Support School Uniforms?

13 Aug 2006 07:29 AM

As a parent, I would love to see school uniforms in public schools here in the U.S. There is too much stress involved for kids in having the "right" clothes and kids have enough stress in their lives without having to worry about whether or not their clothes are cool enough to look like they're going out clubbing - rather than just going to school. (BTW I have a serious problem with that commercial too!)

Coupon Buddies

This is a great idea! I'm so glad you came up with it! Personally, I can't wait to be paired up with a pro. I'm saving so much money with coupons already and I've only been doing this for a few weeks. Having a pro to guide me and show me how to save more will be awesome!

Starting My Family History

Wow! I'd love to hear what you find out about Poland. I've got my family traced back to 892. Speaking and reading French was a necessity. My husband's family is from an area near Poland that has been part of Poland at one point and its own nation at others. (You know how flexible those European borders were.) I definitely have a language barrier when doing research there and would love any tips you could provide!

The Spirit of the Word of Wisdom

11 Aug 2006 06:56 PM

I've heard differing opinions on the "no coffee or tea" rule. Some members say that Green Tea is fine because of its health benefits but others say "tea is tea, don't drink it!" How do you know?!

Please Pray For My Son

We pray so much for big things, and they take time, but God can calm a soul in a moment. Peace be with you!

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Coupons!

11 Aug 2006 11:58 AM

OK, I'm not hardcore - yet, but I've been saving more and more each time I shop. The first time it was 31%, then a disappointing 28% but I saved 41% on my grocery bill last night! Woo-hoo! I'll be watching your blog for more tips on how to save!

Separation Anxiety

09 Aug 2006 08:36 PM

I TOTALLY feel your pain, sister!

I knew it would be difficult for me and I bravely told myself and my family: "I want to be the only one crying when he goes to school." Well, I'm quite sure I will be. I started going to a gym with childcare (Bally) and it took my son (21 months old) about 2 weeks before he didn't give me a second look as I walked out the door. (It took me 3 weeks before I didn't have to fight the tears.) And it was only for an hour at the gym! He was in the same building!

Motherhood has made me so soft. I used to be hard a nails - look at me now!
