I saw "Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story" that came out in 1995 and, not being big on tears, was shocked when Todd died and I cried! Black Bag War22 Mar 2006 12:51 PM Having been in the military and done a lot of traveling on leave, I always got a kick out of those people who use the same methods to make their bags stand out. I can't even count the number of black bags I've seen with identical duct tape "X"s on them! As for me, I avoid the hassle by picking up gaudy scarfs at thrift stores for about a dime each and wrap them securely around the handle of my bag. I make sure to leave enough loose so that I'll see it coming down the carousel but not enough for baggage handlers to get a grip on. After 15 years, it still works! This is also a great method of identifying a purse. If somebody steals a black purse, you're pretty much guaranteed to never find it in a crowd, but if they steal one with a bright green scarf you can always track them! Too much of what we learn about it is negative and sensationalized in the news. It'll be nice to learn from an American Muslim! BTW what does "Assalamu Alaikoum" mean? Jack Lemmon: Versatility Personified02 Mar 2006 11:49 AM I recently found a dvd for the original "Odd Couple" with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau and had to snatch it up. Those two together can really spread a whole lot of sunshine! They were spectacular in the Grumpy Old Men movies and hysterical when they paired up for Odd Couple II many, many years after the first. jack Lemmon is FABULOUS! Movie Review - "Eight Below"02 Mar 2006 11:37 AM Even though there were plenty of reviews (and friends of ours) praising this movie, my husband and I chose not to see it. We're "dog people" and pretty sensitive when it comes to losing them. Everyone says "Homeward Bound" is a great movie, but I cry my face off when that dog is left sitting in the driveway. I still can't watch that movie. As for Eight Below, it is based upon a true story and few of the real dogs survived. No thanks. I'll rent March of the Penguins or watch a Crocodile Hunter rerun instead. PBS Sprout: A Better PBS?02 Mar 2006 11:30 AM We had Directv in Montana and couldn't get PBS but we did get Sprout. My son is crazy about Sesame Street, so Sprout has really saved us from some possibly ugly days.
