The long story of becomming the new me

Its been a while since I have been writing in my blog.. I guess my life has been pretty busy and I totally forgot about this blog thing... On to a long story, once again...

In the last month I have finally married the man I will be with for the rest of my life. The wedding was beautiful! From being so un-organized it turned out perfect.. The day was suppost to be rainy and dark, but when I woke up in the AM my eyes hurt as they were staring outside the window, It was sunny and there were only a few clouds in the sky! My mom ran into the room I was staying in and began the rush! "Danielle, we need to go to the flourist to get the flowers for the girls hair" Jumping out of the bed i rushed to get my hair up in a quick pony and headed straight out the door..

I walked into the salon to find my bridesmaid getting her hair done, in good timing it was the same time she needed the flowers. Said a quick hello as I had to run and finish the rest of the last minute details and to finally wash my hair and dry it before I finally get my hair done.

As we entered the house after the quick visit at the salon my step-dad asked me if I wanted 1 egg or 2 in my omlette before I have my shower. Incredibly, I was STARVING so I told him I would like 3! With shock to his face he got right to it and started making my breakfast! I think I ate all but 1 bite! I needed to save room for my wedding dress to fit, and already was it starting to get tight being 16 weeks pregnant!

I hoped into the shower and lathered myself in nice soothing bath soap the smell of raspberries, and off to the salon I go! Got into the salon and everyone was cheering!! "Here comes the bride" and asking me how baby was doing. Thank god I knew everyone who was working AND who was in the salon.. It was mainly all people who were comming to the wedding! Including Roberts Aunt! Even my neigbour was there (as she is a hair dresser) and one of my other friends (as she was doing our hair)

It was time to start getting my makeup done, once again I lucked out and had one of my gay buddies do my make up!! (What a WONDERFUL job!) He took his sweet lovely time in perfecting my make up then it was time to get my dress on!

Once the dress was on reality kicked in! This is really it! I was really getting married and there was no turning back! It was time for pictures with the family, and the "ladies" who are helping me with the wedding (Bridesmaid and Maid of Honour!) Even my step dad wanted a picture.. Which is pretty classic "The shot gun wedding" as hes got a funny sense of humor (even though the pregnancy was planned).

The ceremony went well, threre were a few mess ups....

  1. My step dad stepping on my dress when I was suppost to walk to the altar with my "Groom"
  2. I said I will instead of I have (everone noticed and chuckled)
  3. And the Maid of Honour and Best man announced us as Mr. and Mrs. before it was time!

We had the pictures at the beautiful Viewpoint in our town! It looks over the view of the ocean. Poor little flower girl had to go potty very bad and wouldnt go potty outside so we had to take pictures without her as someone tok her to a house to releive herself. It was very windy but my new hubby kept me warm when we werent taking pics!!

The reception went well.. It was the first time I seen the ACTUAL decorations up and it almost made me cry! They anounced the whole wedding party, then they announced us THE NEWLYWEDS!
