The new peice to our puzzle

As most of you know, I was having troubles TTC and keeping our first child.. It took us over a year to conceive a baby that we would carry to full term! The pregnancy was pretty normal... Nothing but the usual checkups.. A few UTIs and I had to stay at the hospital for a few days due to the flu and dehydration.

It was comming close to the due date (March 10th) and I was feeling contractions. I of course went to the hospital because they were 3 moinutes apart and intenceifying! I waitied 2 hours in the hospital only to find out that I was only in false labour. This happened to me 3 times..

BUT, when I went into real labour I knew it was time.. These contractions were so bad that I could barely stand. I was having the worst pains in the world! Lucas finally wanted out and I wasnt up to being in labour.. I was tired and sore!

After being in pain for so long in the hospital the nurses quickly checked up on me.. For 4 hours I was stuck at 4cm dilated. She thought it wasnt right so she went and checked on the babys heartrate. Sure enough at the beginning of the contraction it was 180 (very normal) and by the time I was ending the contraction his heartrate would drop to 69!

We had to get rushed to the OR to get the baby out by c-section. I looooved the epidural they gave me... It TOTALLY numbed the pain and all I coulf feel was the pressure of them tugging the baby out. When I looked over I saw my baby boy all blue and not crying as they smacked him bum for him to get going. He started crying as they checked up on him.

\\\"Is it a boy or a girl?\\\" I asked... \\\"ITS A BOY!!!\\\" thank god, we didnt paint his room blue for nothing.. Daddy would have had to run home and paint it pink if he ended up being a girl! But today he is 1 month 3 weeks old and Im in total love with my son! He is the best thing I could ever have (besides having DH)

We are going to start trying to put the last peice of the puzzle to our family in September 2008.. Hopefully it wont take as long and we get the beautiful girl that we want
