Oh My... Miley! G-Rated Star Appears in PG-13 Photos - Blog Entry

28 Apr 2008 05:45 PM

I really do not doubt that there was a bit of manipulation going on here...I mean isn't it a little suspicious that the girl was not asked to disrobe untill her parents had left the set of the photo shoot for some reason? If the photographer wasn't trying to manipulate her, why didn't she ask her to change into the bed sheet in front of her father?

But she still shouldn't have gone along with it...but then again, she is only fifteen and can not be expected to handle herself with the bearing of an adult. She is a kid and kids mess up. And no 15 year old kid is any match for an adult who is well versed in their trade and who has an ulterior motive. And I know her grandma and her tutor were there with her, but her parents should have stayed with her. If she were mine I would have stayed with her.

Real Stars Don't Sign Wallpaper - Blog Entry

She probably thought her signature would be a boon to the hotel. You know, "I would like to book the exclusive Paris Hilton suite, please. Yes I am more than willing to pay double for the privaledge of spending the night with her signature!" Not so much, Paris.

Oh My... Miley! G-Rated Star Appears in PG-13 Photos - Blog Entry

I have seen the pictures and I am not at all suprised by her lack of judgement in posing for them. I have been pretty unimpressed with Miley Cyrus from the gitgo and I grow rather tired of all the hype on how she is about the only positive role model around for teen girls. She is the exact same age as my oldest daughter down to the month of birth and my daughter has more sense than her by a mile, so why would I want my teen looking up to her as a role model?!?!?!

But to be fair, although I consider it a very poor decision to pose for risque pics at the tender age of 15, they are not nearly as bad as I expected them to be after hearing the story on the radio. She is, at least, covered if not clothed. And her parents should have never left her there on her own. They are allowing her to grow up way too fast.

I am just hoping the next title is not going to be "Of Possums and Men" LOL!

Chipotle Chicken - Blog Entry

I made this for dinner tonight and we really enjoyed it, especially my husband who loves anything with chipotle peppers in it. Only I added the whole can of chipotles to the sauce instead of just two, lol. We like things spicy! Thanks for the great recipe!

Annual Bulk Trash - Blog Entry

11 Apr 2008 07:20 AM

We have really good trash services here, bulky items pick-up once a month, lawn and yard waste 4 times a year, and regular weekly trash pick-up with recycling service. It is all free with one small caveat--you can only set out 2 bags of trash each week--additional bags are $1 a piece. But you can set out all the recycling you wish so that makes it really hard to accumulate more than your 2 bags.

Driver Leaves Students Unattended on Bus - Blog Entry

11 Apr 2008 06:45 AM

You know, I have never even seen a school bus at a gas station. School bus companies, like city bus companies, have their own fuel pumps on site and service the buses there. Gas stations are for private vehicles, not school buses, it seems to me like this driver just REALLY needed to use the restroom! He should have called in sick if he was having that much trouble.

Gas Prices Affect Schools - Blog Entry

Our gas prices are low compared to world prices because our oil sources are very close to home. The very large majority of oil imported into the USA comes from Canada and Mexico. We actually purchase very little oil from outside North and South America.

Buddy, my miniature pomeranian, was taken from my backyard 6 years ago. He was a birthday gift to my daughter on her 6th b-day but he was really a family pet. I went in to answer the phone and when I came back out for Buddy he was gone. Never saw him again. We have never gotten another pet since.

What Is and Is NOT Chipotle - Blog Entry

My husband loves chipotle salsa and I always make it for him from scratch. He saw a jar of "Southwest Chipotle Salsa" at the store and bought it, tried it and thought it tasted like regular jarred salsa, checked the indgredients and found that it had not one chipotle pepper in it! He couldn't believe it.
