Emotional Support Can Improve Odds for Breast Cancer Patients - Blog Entry

I would think most every disease or misfortune has a better outcome when we feel loved and nurtured.

One of the problems in hospitals nowadays is that they are loud and impersonal (not to mention often dirty). I remember the days when nurses walked around on soft soles and had time for each patient...

Natural Allergy Relief - Blog Entry

Just as I was heading out into the garden to harvest the first nettle for a soup. Thank You!

But, really: At 45, you should not be falling apart physically - especially since you have had a good common sense about healthy living all along.

Is it that your children are growing up and you need a new playground? Or do you have what in Europe is called "spring fatigue"? It stems from a long winter without enough fresh things - and nettle and chives and dandelion leaves are perfect antidotes.

All the best to you!

Stinging Nettle - Blog Entry

Aimee,

Stinging nettle is my favorite herb. In Europe, it is considered the most useful medicinal herb of all! It is used as a boost for the immune system, and cleansing agent (via the kidneys). Here it is mostly used for its anti-allergic effects (asthma and hay fever).

Most people consider stinging nettle a weed; I planted it in my garden - it tis hat valuable!

Thank you for your thoughts about this neglected plant!
