I do think that parents know when they should be concerned. I also think that an extra trip to a doctor to make sure that their child doesn't need extra help is worth the time and/or money. I knew there was something wrong with my son and I constantly took him to the doctors and they kept telling me he was OK. I know otherwise and continued to push the issue. He was given a trach at 3 months old, was placed on a vent at just a little over 2 and has had CPR done on him by me 4-6 times. I knew in my heart that he wasn't OK and it took almost losing him before the right person would listen to me. I am so glad there are people like you (and now me) that can give a voice to these children. Thank you for your post.
