Great ideas! I also found that if I started out the day planning to work for an hour, it quickly became 2 or 3 hours due to all of the interruptions. The kids became crabby and so did I! I changed my routine - the mornings were filled with "us" time for the first couple of hours. By this time they were ready for a break. I would pop in a movie or an educational video, give them a snack and get to work!
