Parents- Control Your Kids' Behavior In School Or You May Have To Pay A Fine - Blog Entry15 Jan 2007 05:25 PM I must say Andrea has a very good point, I remember in school we would behave no matter what for fear of the wooden stick or ruler. Now schools can't use it but parents can't punish their children either. Sure you can ground them but even that depends. I grounded my son for his behavior in school last week, told him he couldn't even go on a school field trip because of his behavior. Get this the behavior was talking back to his teacher and a few other things she didn't actually discuss with me. When school found out he wasn't going I was questioned on my parenting skills. We ended the conversation with, "Well we can't tell you how to parent your child but that punishment is ...." Yep, they wanted him to go and I thought he should be punished. I can't see in bad areas why a parent may get fined in schools, especially if the teachers have tried everything with the students but so many things have already changed in schools. Look at the recess now days. Let's Talk About Handling Unwanted Belly Touching - Blog Entry11 Jan 2007 05:01 AM I was always fine with it with my first three pregnancies but this time around I don't want to be touched and rubbed. For Halloween, I dressed the belly up for Halloween. Painted it into one giant eyeball ... well one lady decided to tell me how huge i looked whcih of course offended me but I ignored it. She then tells me she is going to rub the budda belly and does. To her surprise she removes her hands with paint all over them, I can only guess how disgusting that was and started laughing with my neighbor as I made a comment, "Well no one asked me if they could rub all over my body, guess that's what they get. Maybe next time she'll ask first."
