Good stuff, Art. Our Walter has been diagnosed ADHD, but we have our doubts. Everything that we can access in the way of information seems to always be slanted. I have to ask, what is this author selling? I wish I could find straightforward information. Walter does fine academically. He can pay attention. The impusive stuff is the main problem.

Well, we are fixing his favorite breakfast as soon as he wakes up, then I am taking him to toy store to pick out whatever he wants, then the wild bunch goes to lunch with Chuck e Cheese. I can not give details, but Caleb is very lucky to have survived his birth. We are very lucky to be able to call him our son.

Nancy and I ran the numbers one time and if every church in Houston inspired one family to adopt one child, then there would not be any children waiting for a family in the area. Its mind boggling when you consider the numbers if the large churches stepped up and took two or three.

Lisa, so many of the really bad abuse cases go this way, it was the boyfriend's fault, so the judge is promised that the boyfriend won't be allowed back, the child goes back to the home, then serious injury or death of the child occurs because the boyfriend came right back. It happens over and over and over. You are right on point, bad Moms choose a boyfriend without regard for the child's safety.

I'm angry that this happened and sad that the system is the way it is.

In the system, everyone is worried about a lot of things, like covering their backsides, but not enough are actually worried about THE CHILDREN.

I hope to be able to use this forum to raise awareness that change needs to happen. The legislature is supposedly concerned and working on it, we will see.

Willow, it is so good to hear from our friends down under. I don't mind the barefoot puddle jumping, what bugs me is when they do it on the way to church in their best shoes.
