The only person that I have met who says she is unschooling is really not doing anything. She says that she only makes him do school when he wants to. Well, guess what? He usually would rather sleep or watch TV. Thanks for your article because from my only experience, I had a bad taste in my mouth for unschooling.

Tristi, I agree. One thing I am trying to do is bring situations like this to light so that someone will think about it and go do something. The brother of my son-in-law and his wife have just begun the process to adopt four siblings 5-6-7-and 8. They will have them forever soon. I'm so excited when that happens. Thanks for your note.

Art, a lot of people assume that two of ours are Hispanic when they are in fact black, They have dark skin but not any Africam American features. At a Mexican restaurant recently, the waiter spoke to two of them in Spanish. One of our boys is black, Hispanic and white. In future generations everyone will be mixed and look alike, I hope
