The 2007 Photographer's Market

Sheri, I haven't sent anything out yet, so I haven't earned any sales from it. The best advice from the book, though, is the information on who to contact to get submission guidelines. Without knowing what to send and who to send it to, you are out of luck.

Photography Glossary- F

Tracy, I know this is a family site, but you forgot to note one of the most important "f"s. As in, "I can't believe I forgot my *&%^$* camera!" or "What the *BEEP* was I thinking when I gave away that PC cord?" LOL

Hi Tracy, Welcome to the photography blog. It's nice to have someone to talk to, it's been pretty lonely around here...

When Kids Must Fly Alone--Part One

30 Apr 2006 11:22 PM

We had an interesting experience trying to fly our 11 year old daughter to her grandparents over Christmas break last year. My Dad had to drive about 3 hours to an airport other than the one originally booked, so she could go on a direct flight. Apparently, the rules changed about connecting flights but no one told my Dad. You can read our story at Bill's Place (http://spaces.msn.com/Aquariusphotography/).

The Great Walk Exchange

02 Apr 2006 11:27 AM

Aimee, We have four dogs, and I walk them by myself. I put the crazy (Lilibeth) Beagle's leash on my one wrist, since she pulls the most. She's the elder in the group, and her walk is more of a "run as fast as you can until the leash tightens, and then stop suddenly." The other puller used to be the Bassett (Lucy), until we got one of those no-pull harnesses. Foxy (the red dog) and Sarah (the Beagle mixed with something that likes to bark constantly) walk nicely. Keeping the four leashes in my hands and in some kind of order is tough at times, but mostly I can hold all of them in one hand. But I don't think I would try the camera thing at the same time.

Introduction

Carson, If your digital camera does not have settings for different film speeds, but it has different lighting settings, set it at the indoor, or sports setting. If you are inside shooting a sport, such as basketball, the camera should adjust its settings to give you an acceptable image despite the flourescent lighting. If that didn't help, send me a private message as to exactly what it is you are having a problem with, and I'll be glad to help you out.
