You MUST scan all your old family photos. I started the scanning with my dads photos he had since he was a young child. I will never forget the look on his face when we watched all his photos on a slideshow with my family all together. Instead of scanning each photo one by one, try an online scanning service or there may even be a local scanning service. I did mine with scanapix and they did a great job scanning my photos. Trust me, its much easier than scanning a box full of photos one by one.
