The following apps are for Android devices.
Memory: St. Patrick’s Day is an app that is free to download. The minimum operating system required is Android 1.6. It is a cute Memory game that uses shamrock shaped “cards” for you to turn over. Some of the images you must match include rainbows, balloons, hats, pots of gold, green beer, and pints of Guinness.
St. Patrick’s Day Solitaire is a free app that requires a minimum operating system of Android 2.2. It has card games that have been given a St. Patrick’s Day theme. There are 9 games total including Classic Solitaire, 1-Card Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, Freecell Solitaire and more!
Shamrock Clock Widget is a free app that requires a minimum operating system of Android 2.1. The widget has a shamrock shaped clock that moves around your screen on a background of shamrocks or tiny leprechauns and pots of gold.
The following apps are for iOS devices.
St. Patrick’s Day DuckyTube is free to download. It is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It requires iOS 4.2 or later. DuckyTube offers parents a safe way for their kids to watch only the YouTube videos that you select for them. The app includes a video of cartoon bears River Dancing, and a video of an Irish cartoon called “Grabby”. You can easily add more. This app will be useful long after St. Patrick’s Day is over.
Clover Catch is a free app that is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It requires iOS 4.3 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. Move a leprechaun around the screen. Make him jump to collect shamrocks and coins and to avoid the “blarney stones”.
A St. Patrick’s Day Quizzle is free to download. It is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It requires iOS 2.2.1 or later. The app gives you a quiz with a series of Ireland and St. Patrick’s Day related questions.
