Excellent blog! My children are 16 (girl) 15 (boy) I am remarried and they visit their father every other weekend. My valentines day problem comes from him. We have been divorced since 97 and he has never gotten our son a valentines day gift or card. He always tells him that Valentines day is a "Girls Holiday". I have always gotten them both a little something for the holiday, and it doesn't seem to bother him now that he is older. But you could always see the dissapointment in his eyes when they would come home from his house after the holiday.
