Tiger was nearly 20 pounds of loving fur! He lived a wonderful life but, really had an issue thinking about birds. Birds were his only weakness in life and the only reason he ever wanted to sit outside the front door and watch them fly by. Tiger my 20 pound Ragdoll--lover--never even scratched a flea! Usually, he would rest in my lap or near me night and day--he would flop over at the sight of a mouse! And I know I watched him faint when he saw a garden snake! But, those birds just were the cat's meow to him....and oneday I let him out to watch the birdies fly. Tiger was killed by a big Woodpecker! The dang bird got one huge peck right between the cats eyes! Right in front of the door step, it looked like Tiger was minding his own busniess and the Woodpecker took all his hate of kitties out on my Ragdoll! No Car? Do You Still Need Auto Insurance? - Blog Entry24 Apr 2006 06:24 PM Insurance can vary from one state to another BUT also from one company to another. Some Insurance companies decide they will or will not offer certain kinds of insurance products. Just because the insurance company doesn't insure something does not mean another won't! I am glad you have found coverage. Your premiums should go down over time, If you haven't had auto insurance continuously for the last year then the first year of insurance is generally the most expensive. The good news is that once you have an insurance history your rates and choices will be better. When and if you do ever buy a nice car you won't have to start out with a high insurance premium! The Importance of Boy Scouts - Blog Entry23 Apr 2006 03:30 PM As the very VERY proud mom of an Eagle Scout I can tell you that Boy Scouts was a life changing experience for our whole family. I plan to raise another Eagle he is only 4 right now so..... I am getting ready! No Car? Do You Still Need Auto Insurance? - Blog Entry09 Apr 2006 02:55 PM It may be an issue with your state insurance laws. Your best advice it to talk with an insurance agent in your state, especially one who handles several different companies. Specifically ask about auto liability for someone who rents cars often there may be coverage by some other name for people who drive but, don't own a car. It isn't usually about the Insurance company but more likely your state laws. Feel free to PM me and I will research your state. What To Say At The Scene Of An Auto Accident.. - Blog Entry07 Apr 2006 04:41 PM Thanks for adding this info Imhcrafts! You have brought up some of the points that will be part of future blogs in this series. How Many Pairs of Socks Does Your Son Have? - Blog Entry05 Apr 2006 04:49 PM Thank you Janet, I worked for several years in a large agency as the Claims manager for the specific agency. I had to initiate many claims which really made me value what I pay insurance premiums for. I was the Front Line of all the claims and really learned what families who suffer a huge loss face. We find keeping our household inventory is also a wonderful way to watch our budget, and remember just how Blessed our Family actually is. Helping a Traumatized Child Build A Sense of Security and Safety - Blog Entry05 Apr 2006 04:36 PM Robert, Thank you for pointing this out to me. A friend had also mentioned the same issues you have brought up. While I still stand by my feeling that spanking is not the right form of punishment for a child who was ever abused, I am willing to concede the fact that scripturally I may be off base. Jessica Simpson = Mother? - Blog Entry05 Apr 2006 01:50 PM MJ7--its funny we disagree on this subject! Celebrities have Always adopted and there is nothing new about it. Frankly, I don't have any issue with this at all. The fact is she will have a home study done just like everyone else. SURE being a celebrity opens doors but that is how the world sometimes works. I don't know why a celebrity should be judged any more harshly then anyone else. But, it always seems like everyone throws a fit when Angelina, and other people decide to adopt. Just because this is someone who is published in the papers and we know about her divorce and other personal issue doesn't mean she is not capable of parenting... Yes--she said till she can have her "Own" children and before I had training I made the same kind of language errors. We know what she meant. There are people who adopt for all kinds of reasons. I just don't have an issue with an air head adopting as long as she passes the home study. No Car? Do You Still Need Auto Insurance? - Blog Entry05 Apr 2006 04:11 AM New Jersey Car Insurance, I agree if someone owns a car it is crazy to not carry liability coverage on the car, even if it is parked inside a garage and not driven! I also think it is a wise idea for those who don't own car's but, rent or drive someone elses' car to carry a non-owner auto liability policy. I also like the non-owner policy for someone who might spend a long period of time without a car. By continuing to maintain their auto liability insurance with a non-owner policy they may not be penalized when they do buy a car and are seen as a person without prior insurance. Room-By-Room Personal Property Inventory - Blog Entry30 Mar 2006 12:46 AM I like to have the video and the written list...the list can have info like serial numbers, or total counts of the same type of property. The videos are nice to have in the event of a burglary. But, it would be hard and time consuming to go through every item inside a jewelry box or dresser. I make the lists for the items and the video to show where things were. |
