Hello, my name is Hava or Havs (depending on my mood and yours!) I am a freelance writer who writes for several blogs, both paid ones such as this one, and personal blogs. My husband and I have been married for five years, and reside in rural Idaho. We have two pound puppies (one a black lab mix and the other an Australian shepherd mix). They are spoiled, but we love 'em anyway!
As my husband will tell you, I am obsessed with politics. I have a personal blog with WordPress supporting the Republican candidate Mitt Romney for president at http://mittforpresident.wordpress.com (or just click on "View Hava Lyon's website" link above.) I was even recently interviewed by another conservative website, Political Vindication, on their weekly talk show. I was really nervous beforehand, but I think I ended up doing well. I was on the phone with them for almost 30 minutes, and I was able to make a pretty good case for the election of Mitt. Go Mitt Go! LOL!
As for blogging for Families, I applied here because I figured I already spent hours on the Internet posting job ideas to help people out--it would be great to get paid for it! I love to write and so although this isn't my Great American Novel, it is great fun, so here I am! :-D I cover the Job/Employment category, which is perfect for me--I have had more jobs in the last year than most people have in a lifetime! It's been a great job for me thus far, and I hope to continue as a Families blogger for a long time to come.
