The Great Novel
I've written novels before and that may sound very casual, but I have. I've never written the novel that takes off and is opted for publication, however. Much like sitting down to write my blogs every day, I try to set aside time to just let my mind wander and create -- but I am not always successful.

Veronica Mars - Neat Discovery
I picked up Season 1 of Veronica Mars not too long ago. It turned out to be a really great first season for a show. It's like watching a novel for television. In style of storytelling, it reminds me of Babylon 5 -- but the delivery is a cross between Phillip Marlowe mysteries and a somewhat more modern Trixie Belden.
Definitely a great deal of fun to watch and such.

Some Days ...
It's hard to explain to people that what I do is write for a living. They always say things like: "write what?" or "You can get paid for that?" I know that most of the time they don't mean to be insulting, but then again -- it feels that way. I work on average about 40 hours a week -- spread out over all seven days so that I am not taking up huge chunks of time from my daughter if I can avoid it.

Veronica Mars - Neat Discovery
