My daughter gets a homework packet every week from her kindergarten class and she does it, by herself and sometimes, she complains that it's hard and I ask her to tell me what parts of it are hard and then she admits -- part of it is she doesn't want to have to sit and do the work. Sometimes, the assignments are tough, but I won't even read them to her anymore because I was supporting her not reading and she can read the instructions when she has to, but as long as I do it for her, she won't.
