Embracing Sleep Deprivation - Blog Entry

07 Jul 2006 05:40 AM

An infant in residence for 7 years? My mind boggles -- and according to my husband, my daughter slept through the night from day one -- that's cause he never woke up with her. It used to amuse me when he would tell that story and I was sitting there with bags under my eyes -- mumbling some kind of gibberish that might be confused with language. Hats off to you Valerie -- just remember -- you will get to sleep -- someday!

How Do We Know If We Are Ready for Kids? - Blog Entry

Thank you for sharing your experience Angie. I feel like we've waited too long for a second, but we started actively trying about two years ago -- it's just not been successful for us. I wanted a three to four year age gap -- but now our daughter will be six in November and she's even more eager than we are -- she even put in an order for twins!

Care and Keeping of the American Flag - Blog Entry

Great info, Sherry. I remember doing a report on this years ago in High School and I was actually amazed by how much I didn't know with relationship to the customs and expectations associated with caring for the Flag.

If I had known: What I would've asked for before having twins! - Blog Entry

Oy Valerie! I always thought twins would be cool, but a handful -- this is hilarious, but terrifying at the same time! Hats off to you for coping to begin with and hats off to everyone that helps.

More Wedding Superstitions - Blog Entry

I laughed all through my wedding, I didn't shed a single tear. I guess I'm doomed too. But I found a lot of this in one of the old advice handbooks -- and I have some more digging to do, but I found a great piece that compared the advice given in the 40s to that of the advice given in the 90s by popular magazines and such.

We stayed at the Grand Floridian -- it was beautiful. We stayed at the Boardwalk before the wedding and that was pretty cool too. I liked the massages at the Grand Floridian better though and they had great room service
