Yep, it's not identically the same as drinking water, but it's still a source of water for your body. Basically -- if it has a water content, your body will strip it out as much as possible!

Absolutely -- my husband and I mark a decade in our relationship this week and it's hard to believe that it's been 10 years and at the same time that it's only been 10 years. I want to feel that way when it's been 50 years!

Aurora! Thank you for that -- that's a really excellent point. These are the spin-off issues that worry me -- primarily let's say that the Federal government legislates that marriage is a union between a man and a woman -- what's the next natural step into that evolution of law?

I would agree with you except that marriage isn't a word that was trademarked by any one religion. There are marriages in many different religions. Yes, the most accepted connotative version of marriage is between a man and a woman. Marriage is defined by a culture and by a religion -- that's why it's such a gray area for a government that has freedom of religion and freedom of expression to define the terms of what constitutes marriage. For example, by common-law in many states if a man and a woman live together for x amount of time -- then they are considered to be in a common-law marriage. But if two men live together -- as roommates they are not subject to the same terms. I don't want the government to 'protect' something for me -- I want to protect my own marriage. If the gay couple across the street wants to get married -- that's their business -- it doesn't affect my marriage anymore than the couple across the street who are getting a divorce affects my marriage.

But I do respect what you are saying and thank you for sharing your thoughts and your comments here -- this is a hard topic -- and it's the ability to debate the issue that lets all of us clarify our own thoughts and beliefs on the subject.

So you don't have a problem with the government deciding whether your practices or beliefs are sacred or not? To me their decision to regulate or not a matter that is intensely personal, religious or both invites them to play judge on all aspects of your life and they have no business deciding that.

Heck with the kids -- I have jersey sheets! Actually, we do have those in my daughter's room -- exactly the same color as I have because she always wanted to sleep in our bed cause she liked the sheets better. Jersey sheets are the greatest!

Absolutely, Aimee. In fact my 7 month old nephew was spiking a fever all night, but isn't tugging at his ears. I bet dollars for donuts it will be an ear infection. I have only ever had one ear infection that manifested as pure pain and I felt like I had a spike driving my ear -- and even that one -- ear drums close to rupturing -- didn't cause me to run a fever.
