Paris Hilton Asks Governor For Pardon - Blog Entry

Seriously, I dislike this overbearing, overindulged girl-woman -- but give me a break. Grow up, do your term and get a life. That's like saying Mommy, I'm sorry give me one more chance after you've had DOZENS of them.

Kindergarten Graduation - Blog Entry

I don't disagree, but Cassidy is graduating her kindergarten in an informal school celebration on the last day. They celebrate the end of every six weeks with accolades for the students in their classes with everything from reading awards to P.E. and more. She's psyched about graduating, in part because she's terrified of 1st grade and doesn't want to go there without it -- don't ask me, kindergarten logic.

No reason to be upset? Uh...who wants to explain graphic sex to their toddler? I get the idea of looking for a silver lining, but a faux paus like that doesn't respond well to spin, no matter who is spinning it.

Parker, Pirates & Potter: What A Summer Awaits Us - Blog Entry

I am excited about the last Harry Potter book, but the movie -- not so much. I did see a great trailer, but I was honestly disappointed in the previous two films by how much was left out. I can appreciate that. But I still think that's where we the parents come in. My daughter likens herself to Cinderella when she has to clean her room or pick up after herself. When I remind her that for all her hard work, Cinderella was rewarded and she appreciates that idea too!

Yeah, that sign up is very steep. The problem is, fitness clubs are a business and I appreciate that, but with so many other options available - those are the ones I am interested in doing.

Home Monitoring Systems For The Sick Or Elderly - Blog Entry

My six year old daughter told my 60 year old mother all about these systems after seeing a commercial for one and she wanted my mother to get one because a) my mother is "old" and b) if she fell, she'd need help. It was precious -- hilarious -- but precious.
