We did that here on Saturday, my five year old was patiently helping me clean house as I did dishes, laundry, vacuuming and general straightening. She got out the duster and very thoroughly dusted all the bookshelves. When I realized what she was doing, I gave her high marks and when we were all done she asked if I wanted to go out and play now, so we got out her bike and she went for a ride while I paced along. We ended up sitting by a pond with the sun and the breeze --- moments like that are priceless. My First Transport -- Canceled!27 Mar 2006 06:17 PM Aimee, Sorry you didn't get to do the transport. I admire your work with volunteering and animal rescue. I'm a big softy, I'd want to take them all home with me. Part of how I ended up with 5 dogs and 5 cats at the moment. I am fortunate in that when it came to writing papers, I could write my own faster than I could copy or adjust someone else's work. So I'd rather do it myself and reference the other work if I need the supporting material! I think it's important for moms who want to nurse and everyone else in the world who tries to tell you what to do to know that sometimes it doesn't happen as naturally as we would all like it to and that it's hard -- but sticking it out can be rewarding and sometimes you have use the breast pump to do that. I've even been working with my daughter on her language too -- it helps her to express her feelings and yes, you're right Misty, sometimes it can backfire -- on the other hand, not being responsible for someone's feelings doesn't mean they can't hurt them as my daughter pointed out to her teacher (I was so proud!). You are not wrong about the assumptions people make based on dress. There is a lot in the news about the treatment of women in severely oppressed atmospheres such as Afghanistan. What makes freedom of choice so important to me -- is that you choose to follow your faith and dress the way you do. It is your choice. You are not required nor threatened to do so. I can admire and respect choice.
