Romance

Romance does not make a relationship. I think that was my problem in the past: my want for the fairy tale or dream to come true. Romance is for books and movies. Romance is just like a costume on a woman. She is either beautiful or ugly or somewhere in the middle. The costume won't change that. The costume can enhance her natural beauty or hide her ugliness. But it is not her and underneath the costume she remains unchanged.

It is the same with relationships. Romance can enhance a relationship or hide the problems. But it cannot make a relationship. A strong relationship must be built on a strong friendship, loyalty, honesty and commitment. It is hard work. It requires excellent communication skills. Compatibility is of the utmost importance and what is chemistry anyway? Simply the attraction that brings you together at the beginning? Finishing each other's sentences the first time you talk? Size of lips or genitals?

That reminds me. One time I dated this guy until he kissed me. I thought he was going to swallow my entire head. That was the end of that.

Haha! Everything you said is so true. Even the part about that guy kissing you. So important. You cant spend the rest of your life with someone who sucks at kissing... so why waste anymore time? LOL!

Hehe. Yes, and kissing is very important to me. Loving somebody, but hating to kiss them... Why complicate your life?
