I try to turn it into being a "warrior" parent and fight off those jump attacking anxieties if they're just little freaks that are out to stick their claws in for no reason. A little bit of anxiety is sometimes a good thing. It can be the right sort of stress needed to get something done. Too much anxiety thought and it turns to distress. I diss it alright - I weild my sword of questions and slap it into submission. However, I learnt a long time ago that unchallenged ignorance is just as bad. Thank you for gently challenging adoption reason ignorance. This is one way to keep the stamina up because, you're right, it is tiring having to reply to ignorant comments from people who mean well but just don't have any idea around personal decisions or committments.
