I am ashamed to say that I have been a screaming parent way too many times in the past. It took me two children to get it through my thick skull that screaming was just unacceptable and a type of abuse. Screaming is a symptom of an out of control parent. I fear suspension of my child. Although, he misses so much school I should probally rather fear a visit from the police for truancy!!! Good blog. The Quiet Game - Blog Entry23 Sep 2006 09:21 PM Hey Sherry. This made me laugh. We still play the quiet game, but ours is a little different. We tell the kids that the one who can be quietest for the longest wins 50 cents. They love it! The two youngest ones try to our quiet each other and the two older ones nowadays offer the reward.
