I always use interactive journalling pads so that I double or triple my space. Another thing I've started doing is also writing on the back of the page. I hope that the conclusions from the study find a loud voice in the area of early intervention - before our kids even think about having babies. Women can do anything is somewhat different to woman have to do everything. I'm going to print this and give to my daughter Beth. She is thinking of having babies. Now's the time to make it pointedly clear to her that she doesn't have to do everthing and that she needs to expect and demand an equal division of household labour. Hamster Horror Stories - Blog Entry19 Aug 2006 01:18 AM I LOVE the idea of pets...as long as I don't have to look after them!. I had mice as a YP and my older children also had mice. I know the horror of finding the remnants! Imagine my surprise when we took our youngest to purchase fish last weekend and he walked out with two mice. Two females of course. This morning when cleaning their cage, I held the mice while child 4 cleaned their cage. Such lovely little creatures, until...I couldn't help myself..."Oh my God, it's got testicles!". Could YOU have a breakdown? - Blog Entry16 Aug 2006 03:16 AM Very good analogy Beth. I had an extremely supportive family as a child...and thank goodness they were around when my marraige broke down. For the only time in my adult life I was unable to work. I took 6 months off work because I couldn't concentrate or function. I cried every day for 2 years following my husband leaving. My family supported and loved me through the whole trauma. I know I am indeed fortunate to have them and I thank them for their protective care of me. My house was rebuilt but it took 6 months of rebuilding and then 2 years to take the scaffolding away. I needed it there just incase my new building required a paint touch up. It is funny though. I am unable to see my parents in my partner but I clearly see our parents in the spouses of my siblings. It will be interesting to ask them if they see Mum or Dad in my darling. I make a heap on a weekend, wrap them individually and throw them in the freezer. I also collapse time by putting on a load of washing as I'm going to bed and put it out to dry first thing in the morning. I hang shirts and dresses straight onto coat hangers so then I can just hang them in cupboards when dry. Sewing on buttons?
