The boybonic plague again hey. I wish they'd just leave them all alone. No wonder there's so many unbalanced high profile people. I say good on McConaughey for not defending his relationship. You should do a shock, horror blog on a hetrosexual couple seen together - just to highlight the intrusion of the media. Or even the two of us Michele - are we cycbersexual because we have a families.com relationship?

I just cannot imagine having to live with a fireplace for heating reasons (I get the whole romance thing). Having to measure, cut, cart, find firewood would just be awful. Hawaii or cold country, Hawaii or cold country. Ummm, I think I'd be checking out the real estate magazines.

It's boiling hot in Cairns today. The parrots are squarking and the Hibicus and Frangipani are vibrant. The smell of mango and tea tree flowers are wafting through.

This made me laugh - working in the industry I do, I often need mental health days. Funny thing is though, I never know I need one until I take it.

My perfect mental health day is staying in my pyjamas and doing NOTHING more mentally strenuous than reading a magazine. If I come across anything child abuse related, I throw the magazine and scream. If anyone was watching through the window they would suppose I was crazy. But that's okay, because, on my mental health days, I am crazy.

And...just for your knowledge, last week it was mental health week in Australia.

Good one Heather. I'll link to this as my favorite child focused article of the day. Expecting our kids to be text book places an enormous strain on them and sets them up for failure.

I'm not a pefect parent and I'm okay with that...but no parent should try and use parental imperfection as an excuse for sexual or domestic abuse around me because I'll be the first one to point out that they are two different things. Imperfect parents don't hurt their kids, they're just imperfect in parenting. Parenting NEVER equates to abuse.

Love and logic is great MJ. Dissobedience is a teachable moment that we often miss. For some is easier to deal with by giving a good slap than finding the learning (for parent and child) in the situation.

A message to Tristi and Eileen from Sophie. "Thanks for saying something to Megan. She showed me what you wrote and it made me feel proud that I had shared my story. I nearly didn't do it because I was so frightened that nobody would believe me. I look after my daughter and we talk about being open, not keeping secrets, and always making sure someone listens to you - even if the person is busy. I tell her that when bad things happen the rules about goodness have already been broken so she can break the rues too and be real pushy about making sure someone listens to her.
