01 Feb 2009 08:07 PM New YearSo here we are in 2009...and it doesn't look like a great year so far. We're hoping to get the kids into some activities soon, but with Matt getting laid off we're not sure how that's going to play out. There were so many things that we were going to do this year and now we've just had the rug pulled out from under us. Jackson is growing so big. He's so funny. I'm so glad that he's here to brighten up my days. I'm hoping to get him into a play group on Wednesday mornings, but so far scheduling has been a problem. I think I'll probably take him to some of the stuff they do at the public library too. Anything free sounds good about now! I can't wait till I graduate. That'll be a huge relief. Of course it would help if I were getting a degree that meant something, but at least it's a degree. I don't know if I'll do graduate school immediately, but it certainly would be a good idea. There's going to be a small amount of jobs to choose from in my field. But I've got a good job at Cowtown, so hopefully that'll last. If Matt could find something with benefits that'd be good. If he can't, I saw a couple of possibilities in the newspaper today. They don't pay as well as Cowtown, but they have benefits, so it may be my only option. I'm trying to get Alyssa her own room!! It's taking me forever to do, but I have a limited amount of time and I'm doing it mostly by myself. So, trying to move huge furniture with 3 kids running around is stressful to say the least. So I haven't made the progress I'd like to. She wants it to be butterfly themed, so I got her some neat little butterfly lights to put around her bed. I'm not going to change the bedspread or anything, it'll be the same as it was. I can't afford to go all out right now. So I'll probably paint it and maybe use these butterfly stickers that Phyllis got me to decorate, which will make it super cute. Chloe wants her room to be princess themed, which should be fairly easy. Everything is princess themed these days. Her room is already painted and wall-papered, so that saves me some trouble there! She's getting so grown-up in her thoughts and actions. I guess I should go for now, the natives are getting restless.
