Unfortunately, it means that she brings it home to me and right now I'm starting to get something she's just barely getting over. I'll force her to read this article and make her not get me sick again. Wow, that last sentence was convoluted. I also took Airborne this morning and hope it works. I've only tried it once before (about a year ago) and it didn't seem to help. Today's the first day of the semester! I can't be getting sick now! How Many Baskets Do You Have? - Blog Entry14 Jan 2007 10:34 AM Well, I think it would be interesting, but I've noticed that the more math classes I take, the less I can communicate like a normal human being. It's very unfortunate. In regards to A) I have no idea. I've never looked into it and seeing as how you're doing a jobs blog and I don't even have a TV to watch the news, I'll trust you. B) You are totally right. Just because I thought in Spanish doesn't mean I could read Don Quixote, let alone write it. After I posted I thought I should've clarified but haven't really had access to the internet until now (visited the parents). Going Back to School - Blog Entry14 Jan 2007 10:27 AM I think it's great that you're going back to school, Mom wholeheartedly agrees. I think your reasoning is great. I'd like to mention one quick important thing though. Funding. I would like to make the disclaimer that I'm not an expert on this subject. Everything I say is based off of personal experience. I would seriously suggest doing your taxes early and then submitting your FAFSA. Of all of the scholarships I've applied for, I've only gotten one $700 scholarship. However, and I don't know if it works the same at ISU, they will automatically look at your previous college grades, your financial situation, and perhaps some other stuff and will most likely just give you money. Free money. With the only stipulation being that your grades don't go to pot and you are a full time student. Also, I believe you're able to get subsidized loans if you do your FAFSA, meaning you don't have to pay interest on them until after you graduate. If it weren't for financial aid, my college experience would have been much different thus far. Look into it. It is definitely worth the time. How Many Baskets Do You Have? - Blog Entry11 Jan 2007 01:22 PM Hey Havs! (I must admit, your name changed from strange to stranger :-) I just wanted to make a couple of comments on your blog, more nitpicking than anything important. You know how us Bishops can be. One, having just finished again The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I would like to note that there are more than Canadians and Americans that speak English as a first language. Two, it is entirely possible for someone to think in their second language. Admittedly, I only did it for a couple of months, but it can be done. It sure confuses the living heck out of you though. Having addressed two issues that weren't even the point of the blog, I must depart. You're doing an excellent job! I'm envious. To a certain extent. |
