Do You Offer a Free Trial Period?

16 Feb 2008 09:30 PM

I have been using this approach in my home business for a month and it's definitely been generating more interested prospects. It seems to reduce the stress level of the decision to purchase. However, I'm rarely taken up for a trial because they understand our money back guarantee. All of our products are covered by the 100% satisfaction guarantee from the manufacturer and there's only shipping to cover. I've never had to ship anything back. Definitely print your receipts with your return/guarantee policy or where it can be found. I have hand written receipt books with the policy on the back. Another thing to consider is the price of your items you are offering the free trial for. Perhaps a refundable deposit is in order.

Home Business Resources

I wanted to add that in searching for an opportunity to earn money from home there are two ways to do it. Work at home, paid by the hour or service. And home based business, which requires an investment but can equal long term income. Make sure you know the minimum purchase requirements and what comes with it. One more thing, there's no such thing as get rich quick. You will work hard to earn high income. You will work less for less income. It's relative.

Reducing Waste

What a great article. I work at home and always try to reduce paperwork, even submitting emails with a message "please think of the planet before pressing the print button."

My "office" is a cubby in the kitchen, so my recycling drawers (it's a rubbermaid 3-drawer stacker-looks better than three cans) are nearby. Everytime someone's running around saying "I need some paper" I send them there!

Also, instead of buying traditional holiday gifts (for the adults anyway) I'm sending "services" instead of "things". Like gift certificates for spa facials, massages, day cruises, etc. Just think of all the stuff we accumulate during the holidays. Sometimes I don't know where to put everything after it's unwrapped!

Guess I Should Have Read The Label First!

I don't think we have as many problems with germs as the clorox company would like us to believe.

According to the FCC, it's against regulation for advertisers to "say" a product is safe, but if they "show" a baby and a golden retriever playing nearby, it's up to you to "imagine" it's use.

Thanks for posting this article. Reading labels isn't something most people do with a product their mother's used without gloves and masks. Even if it does say to wear them.

Here's a news report that may be of interest to clorox users:
