Scott was singularly unimpressed. We didn't have them growing up so I didn't know there would be a difference. We'll look for this one. Easy Paint Projects for Preschoolers - Blog Entry01 Apr 2008 08:39 AM They did some painting at the library the other day and the librarian gave them some of the painting tools people use on walls - they made lines and swirls and sponge paint pictures. This sounds fun too. Bird's Nests - Easy Craft Projects - Blog Entry31 Mar 2008 10:15 AM Could you use whole wheat spaghetti and save the painting step (although the painting might be more fun)? I think this project will wait a year or two, since they both like to eat the spaghetti, and the playdough is ALWAYS mushed together! Popcorn Fun on a Cold, Rainy Day - Blog Entry31 Mar 2008 10:12 AM We will definitely try this! Kettle corn is our favorite. The kids don't really eat popcorn yet so we haven't worried about the chemicals. But the time is coming. Earth Hour - Fun in the Dark - Blog Entry31 Mar 2008 10:10 AM We missed this since I was in the Vagina Monologues. We'll have to do our own Earth Hour to make up for it. The kids actually like to turn off all the lights and use their flashlights to find things Scott hides for them. I don't know if it's ever lasted an hour, so we'll fill in with your ideas! The Tom and Pippo Books - Helen Oxenbury - Blog Entry27 Mar 2008 07:03 AM I'll have to find these. I've never heard of them before. Thanks for the tip! Spring Break Survival - Part One - Blog Entry26 Mar 2008 07:49 AM I want to go to IHOP! They finally have one in Lexington. Do kids really care if the house is picked up? How disappointing. :) Monk - TV Review - Blog Entry25 Mar 2008 06:07 AM We love Monk. I got Scott the Obsessive Compulsive Collection for Christmas in 2006. It is the first four seasons. We are still in Season 1. Such is the life of people with small children. By the time we get finished with this Monk will be solving crimes from a wheelchair. The Rainbow Goblins - Ul de Rico - Blog Entry10 Mar 2008 10:04 AM I got this book for my sister when it first came out (she was 9). She loved it, and is now reading it to her daughter, who is 2, and also loves it. I was a little startled, but I guess she knows her own kid. I was going to wait a bit longer because I too remembered the goblins drowning pictures as disturbing. 1 2 |
