I had better look into that. We do the slippers, blankets, etc and by the end of the day I am weary from being so cold. Do you have any other suggestions? We are seriously considering using some of our tax money and putting in a wood burning stove. The only thing for us to consider is that we don't plan on being here for more than 2 years. I wonder if it is worth it? Laura Peek into My Morning - Blog Entry28 Jan 2008 01:58 PM My morning usually begins between 5:30 and 6:00. I like to grab my coffee and Bible. Mornings are the only time it is quiet around here. I usually like to spend an hour or so quietly reading my Bible. By 7:00 I get all my older children up so that they can get their school day started. While they are eating I shower and then usually come down to the kitchen grab something out of the freezer for dinner, make a loaf of bread, start laundry, check email, and whatever else needs to be done before we get start with homeschooling. By 8:30 or so we all sit down to do a devotion and pray together. Our morning usually ends by 11:30 w/ hungry kids ready for a noon lunch. lol Pretty boring. ;o) Laura How to Buy a Crockpot - Blog Entry28 Jan 2008 09:53 AM Mary Ann, I like to put whole chickens in the crock-pot on Sunday's, then the next day I will make a big pot of soup w/ the bones. I also put in pork tenderloins, roast beefs, and pork chops. Honestly, I don't have a favorite recipe b/c most crock pot recipes call for Cream of ________ soup. How about you? When ours died a few months ago I checked online reviews for different crock pots. I found the "stripped" down models got the best reviews.
