We used a lot of paper plates, cups and silverware. In the summer months I set the timer on the dishwasher to run at night. It made a beautiful centerpiece. We've made pumpking turkeys. The kids loved doing that. It also make a fun centerpiece. Our son grew pumpkins a few years ago. The vines sure did get BIG!! I think we got about 3 pumpkins. The kids want to plant pumpkins next spring. My mother in law makes pumpkin pies from carving pumpkins every year. They are the BEST pumpkin pies!!! Lately, our almost 3 year old daughter, has discovered going to the library is FUN! So we now go weekly. This helps me keep my fines to nothing. People would actually pull up in vans, jump out and go around door to door. In our "new" house I have no clue how many trick or treaters we get, we don't celebrate Halloween. I was told by a neighbor that we don't many kids b/c our immediate neighbors don't celebrate Halloween either. Our family usually goes out to dinner w/ another family. Its always a good time. Our daughter sleeps in one every night during the winter months. For Christmas last year my mother in law purchased nice down blankets for all of us, they have been a real blessing. We have them scattered throughout the house. A few downstairs and some in our bedroom. Flannel sheets are a must as well. My hubby had me put the flannel sheets on last week when it was pretty chilly.
