Usually I can only get two meals out of a the biggest whole chicken. In the cooler months I will roast the chicken in the oven or throw it in the crockpot. I will use the bones for chicken noodle soup. Generally speaking I will have to add extra chicken for the soup b/c most of the meat will be gone from the first night. lol We have some good eaters around here. We have a family of 6! Laura

Going off season is such a money saver. We usually go to the Outer Banks, NC every year in September. Going in September can save you thousands of dollars, no joke. You also get a chance to get a nicer house b/c a lot of people don't vacation in September. It's also less crowded!! Laura

I purchased a set of sheets for our queen size bed for under fifty dollars and they are 300 thread count. Linen's and Things was having a clearance sale on them. I sort fell upon them and loved the price!! The color isn't my favorite but I am happy w/ them!! Laura

Oh yeah!! I didn't realize that cheese froze well. I will have to keep my eyes open for sales. I tend to buy our summer clothes in the summer months, boy that sounds like a contradiction. lol Kohl's was having a great sale on sun dresses for toddlers. I bought a dress for her for six dollars. The dress was regularly 14 dollars!! It is so cute and she is so happy! Good tips!! Thank you! Laura
