Ratatouille (2007) - Blog Entry

01 Jul 2007 10:32 PM

I love rats - but I agree that the 'swarm' scenes were very realistic seeming. I didn't think it was too scary, but when anyone asks my almost 4 year old what the movie was about, she only says, "The rat fell down the waterfall." So obviously that sewer scene had more impact on her than I thought. But at the same time she says she loved it and would go again. I liked the message about honesty too.

Do You Really Think You're a Better Teacher? - Blog Entry

I think there is also a completely different set of skills needed to teach one or a few children than to controll and teach a classroom full of 30+ kids. I'd never want to try the later, but teaching my one little girl - I bet I can do a decent job.

Yikes! And I was nervous because we're considering moving the baby from our room to her sister's. Seems like such a minor thing compared to this. Thanks for the warning.

I look forward to more info. I heard about someone who wanted to enter high school as a soophmore, but the school wouldn't let them because they were homeschooled by a non-accredited teacher (mom). So they were told they'd have to be a freshman.

Bedtimes That Make Sense - Blog Entry

We started a routine with our first child and didn't have nearly the amount of sleep problems that friends did. Now with the new baby, I'm afraid we're a bit lax. We eep the toddlers routine, but haven't worked the baby into it yet. I guess we'd best get started! Thanks for the reminder.
