Oops

Okay - the miniature quilt block officially didn't go that well.  It has a strong resemblence to an Ohio Star, but the points are off enough to make it look sloppy.  I think my measurement were good, but my 1/4 inch seam isn't perfect - and 'not perfect' times a bunch of tiny pieces, and - you get a sloppy looking little block.

Miniture Quilting

I'm making my first attempt at miniature quilting today. Just the cutting is harder than standard sizes - everything has to be so much more exact!  My hat off to qulters who are really good at this.  There's just no room for errors, it seems.   I hope my measurements are right - if I've goofed up the conversions, I'll be done pretty quick.

I love patchwork

I remember being in bed when I was little and studying the patchwork quilt that my grandmother made for me.  I loved looking at all the different pictures and patterns on the fabric squares, and even trying to find two (or more) squares that matched.

I found a great site for handcrafters!

A friend of mine refered me to a webste that sells handmade items.  I posted on of my patchwork security blankets and it sold in just over a week.  The selling fees are do much lower than Ebay, I don't think I'll sell there anymore (at least not my handmade stuff) Here's my store: www.karabu.etsy.com I sell mainly baby and toddler stuff right now, but hope to list more soon.
