Naming a Person is Hard.

I think we finially came up with a name for our new baby.  I was really getting tired of calling her "the baby" or whatever, so I'm happy.  It's amazing how stressful trying to come up with the perfect name can be!  So many things to think about - how others may view her name, how comfortable she'll be with it, will people shorten it? Misspell it?  Mispronounce it?  Make fun of it?  Is it a good name for a little girl AND a grown woman?  Maybe we make too much of this decision, but I really want it to be something she loves and feels is really 'her'.

It's funny how it happens too.  The same thing kinda happened when we named our first daughter.  We made a list of names we kinda liked.  We added to it - took other names off, tried the different names out with some middle names to see how they sounded.  A bunch were 'okay', but nothing was perfect.  Then out of the blue we thought of a name that we wan't even on our list - we'd never thought of before - and it was THE name.  We both knew it.  Why do we do that?
