Christian Moms In The Community23 Jan 2007 09:51 AM Hi Christina, Your article is of interest to me because I am at home with two very small children. I both dread and long for the day when I can do some running around! I will also be homeschooling as well as trying to get my kids involved in the community. Thanks for your insight! Amy Eli's Sons23 Jan 2007 09:48 AM Hi, Lisa! The story of Eli and his sons has always intrigued me. We know that Eli was held responsible for his childrens' disobedience. The "hang up" I've had in the past is that Eli's sons were most likely adults and therefore "disciplining" them per se would have been dificult for Eli. I think the key is for us to raise our kids for the Lord from the time they are in diapers and hopefully that will avoid the issue Eli faced. That, and LOTS of prayer! I totally agree that we must discipline our children. I tell my son that I want him to obey me, so that when he is older he will obey and submit to the LORD. I enjoyed your post! Snow23 Jan 2007 09:44 AM Hi, Melissa! This is the first time I've read one of your posts. I am encouraged that this is a wonderful place where we can share our faith and build each other up. "Iron sharpeneth iron"! I am also going to be starting a blog and am excited about getting to know other bloggers in the Christian category! 1 2 |
