I am constantly evolving but hold steadfast to one purpose... "To have a positive impact on those I love and selflessly give of my time, talent, touch, light and energy". This is my "true north". When I was younger, I identified with my career. I was "whatever my current title was". I am still passionate about these roles, but I have stopped being defined by them. Recently, I left my past in the past and focused my energy on making the home school thing happen. The stars aligned and we jumped in with both feet this January. I have to thank my husband for "giving it a chance", my kids for actually wanting to do this and God for speaking to me in a way that allowed me to "get what I am supposed to be doing at this point in my life". I joined this site to learn how other families in America are dealing with and overcoming the challenges of balancing family time, outside activities, school, unwanted outside influences, education, finances, health, etc... |
