The Breastfeeding Card

10 Aug 2009 08:10 PM

I nurse my baby in public all the time. Granted, I use a nursing cover, but that's just because I would be uncomfortable with anyone but my husband (or my baby, obviously) seeing my breast!

5 Reasons Why You Might Breastfeed a Toddler and an Infant

I was hoping you could avoid engorgement by continuing to nurse the first child when the second was born! hehe

When Will Your Milk Come in?

15 Jul 2009 09:36 PM

Rock hard torpedos is the perfect description! Ha! Ha!! I went from a 34B to a 36DD in two hours and I was in pain for two days! Fortunately I went back down to a small D, but still, that was scary!

Baby Taken from Church Nursery: What Would You Do?

15 Jul 2009 09:27 PM

Ahhh!! I'm glad I personally know each woman that works in the nursery at my church. But I always follow my instincts. I wont' leave my son in the nursery if I see another baby in there with a cold, for example.

Spinal Headache

You could try some of the tips I wrote about in my blog entry called Natural Induction. You can visit it here:

I tried everything when I was pregnant with my son, and it seems the only thing that ended up working was the Pitocin. But many women swear by acupressure!

Good luck! Kim

Avoiding an Episiotomy

29 Jun 2009 09:17 PM

I will try perineal massage next time. I had an episiotomy, and it was about 11 weeks before it no longer hurt to have a bowel movement. Likewise intercourse was painful for a long time. I hope I don't have to have another episiotomy next time. Thank goodness for Dermoplast, though!!

Who's Choice is It?

14 Jun 2009 10:46 PM

I was recently listening to a John MacArthur sermon on this same topic. I like how he said it goes against our sinful nature to give credit for our salvation to God. Especially as Americans, we want to take credit for the "choice" because we are so bent on rights, freedom, and our own free will and power.

Dealing with Night Sweats

03 Jun 2009 07:24 AM

I experienced intense night sweats in the first few nights after giving birth to my son. I think that's how I lost most of that awful water retention!

Post Partum Body Image

I am 8 weeks postpartum, and I am definitely anxious to get back into shape. Unfortunately, my son keeps me so busy that I hardly have time to exercise! I've started doing lunges around the house while holding him to my chest instead of the usual rocking and bouncing when he's upset. :)
