First, people today assume that every family with more than two children or closely spaced children had 'accidents'. Which is crazy. Had you picked up a twin and swatted her backside, cell phones would have been going with child abuse calls all over the area. People do judge in their minds(as well as I). Most just are not brass enough or rude enough to say it aloud. However, we have all been in the same situation as you and I think judging makes us feel better that someone may have had a worse day than us. It is not as important for me to get a kindergarten student at the beginning of the year that can already read and knows letters and sounds as it is for me to get a student that is educated about the world. I can always tell when a child has been read to and talked to. Just having conversations with your child about the world and the people in it can make a big difference!
