I thought it was cute...lol but I can see how others would be annoyed by it. It sounds different than her upset or scared noises to me...but that's just my kid.

Teens who Choose Adoption More Likely to Succeed--So Why Don't More Teens Choose It? - Blog Entry

28 Jul 2008 08:20 PM

I'm not sure that is what she was saying at all....What I got from this is that adoption is an option and it is easier to succeed without a baby...(not to say that it is easy to give up your baby). Teens are more likely to keep their baby which does make going to school much more difficult unless you have a very strong support system. Whereas college age are more likey to give up their child than teens because they're focused on their education and they feel they cannot care for the baby as they would like to...Anyway that is what I got from what she said. I didn't see anything offensive or that was meant to put down anyone.

I got a dog when I was 5 and my sister got a dog a few years later...after my dog died the other dog followed my mom around everywhere. It was so sad like her mommy had died even though they weren't even the same breed of dog.

Is Malnutrition Really a Concern for the Average Family? - Blog Entry

26 Jul 2008 09:50 AM

My 22 month old has been on a food strike for 10 months. I thought it would end...I keep offering her foods and she keeps refusing anything except mac & cheese, grilled cheese, plain bread, grahm crackers, cherrios, (mcdonalds only) chicken nuggets, any potato product, milk and water. Is that healthy enough?

So This is Why They Call Her a Crybaby - Blog Entry

well age makes a huge difference. Of course there are still problems but when I grew up I saw no racism (probably just wasn't paying attention because I was young) She is much younger and inexperienced and has a fresher view than the women on the show who are more mature (not saying she isn't mature and not calling anyone old!!!) It's just been a very different experience for me (white) and my African American husband...We both haven't ever encountered any of those stereotypes or racist comments. I'm sure we're prejudged based on looks but no one has ever said anything...and it bothers me when she says we live in different worlds because.....well I'm married to a black man and we don't live in different worlds. We were raised the same and are generally the same (ya know both human and all) I realize that isn't what she was talking about but she really should have word it differently IMO

If They are Changing Their Own Diaper, They are Ready for the Toilet - Blog Entry

23 Jul 2008 05:50 PM

My daughter is doing that....demanding to be changed as soon as she is wet and we are/were trying to train her but she doesn't seem to know when she is about to go and gets very upset when she gets the floor dirty. I don't think she is ready even though she can practically change herself. I don't think she knows how to use her bladder control yet or still isn't sure what it feels like when she has to go. She understands you're supposed to go on the potty and wants to but she hasn't made it.

So This is Why They Call Her a Crybaby - Blog Entry

I think it honestly hurt her feelings for someone to say we don't live in the same world when most of us are trying very hard to make it all equal....things happened in the past but it is in the past and how are you supposed to move forward if you keep bringing up the past. I'm sure she only cried because she's pregnant or maybe it was the thought of what Goldberg's grandmother had to go through...I get upset too when I think about things that happened that I have no control over. The whole we don't live in the same world thing, is that way because we have two sets of rules. Why is it ok for one person to use the word and not someone else.
